Henry Sadler Masterclass Day Decoy Lakes
29.06.2016
brilliant catch Henry
This was a special Christmas present from Henry’s wife Pat. His long time fishing friends Billy Bowsher and Roger Aniszewski had also helped to arrange the present and come along for the day. The wonderful Decoy Lakes near Whittlesey in Cambridgeshire was the chosen venue.
It was a cool morning with a strong westerly wind and the threat of rain later, not really the weather you expect in late June. The early pegs on Cedar lake offered some protection from the strong wind, so I decided we would fish there.
Pole at 5mts was the chosen method for all 3 anglers, loose feeding 4mm hard feed Van Den Eynde carp pellets with a 4mm banded pellet on the hook. They were all soon catching well. Billy’s swim was full of quality barbell. Henry was catching some big carp and Roger had borrowed one of my poles and was also catching well.
We left the bank at about 3.30 pm Henry and Billy both having caught over 100lbs and Roger considering it was his first time with a pole a creditable 70lbs.
