Ballinamore Angling Festival 2015
John Potters tops the leader board with a brilliant all round performance with a 5 day total of 34,480 kg. Dave Pickering finished 2nd with 30,340 kg and local angler Brian Bohan was 3rd with 28,420 kg. I finished out of the main prize list in 11th place with just under 17 kg.
The Ballinamore Angling Festival is fished on Lough Garradice close to the Irish town of Ballinamore and is organised by the local community. It was smoothly and efficiently run by Helen Rainsford, who also assists it running the World Pars Competition.
I had a difficult week, but the fishing was enjoyable. It was all feeder and my poles never came out of the holdall. Still I managed 4 section wins out of the 5 days and finished top of my rotation draw.
